About me
A product of Scottish design from the summer of ’78. I Grew up in a Noth eastern town called Turriff and at age 18 moved to the City of Aberdeen.
In Aberdeen, I studied at The Robert Gordon University for a BSc in Computer Science which had me graduate for in the year 2001. At the tail end of the year 2000 I met my future wife Nicole and instantly fell head over heals for her.
2001 saw me move to the city of Edinburgh to be closer to Nicole and start my new I.T. Career. I was lucky enough to land a job fairly quickly at the national newspaper “The Scotsman” where I started in the 1st line support I.T. helpdesk
I quickly climbed the chain and a year later joined the Systems administration team where I worked until March 2007.
In January 2006, we at the Scotsman found out our company had been sold and I spent the year constantly dodging the redundancy bullet and formed a solid “must get a new job” attitude due to the seemingly never ending clip in the JP gun.
In March 2007 I relocated with my wife back up to Aberdeen so that I can be closer to my family and my old friends.
I took a job with a company called K10 solutions and am still employed with them as the IT Manager, in charge of all the other engineers and the running of our Support & Ops Department.
In March 2008, my wife and i happily found out that we were pregnant and were to become very happy new parents. Due on the 1st of January 2009, our baby is a very exciting upcoming addition to my family.
To be continued.....
